With a robust background in digital marketing, project management, and a deep understanding of international markets, I believe I bring a wealth of experience and a unique perspective to various companies. 

My spesific digital journey began at Cathay Pacific in 2010, where I launched my first successful Facebook promotion and collabarated with the international “Around the World in 80 Days” competition, which was won by Mike Corey, now a renowned BBC travel presenter. As the social media and digital marketing manager for South Africa, I was responsible for both Facebook and Twitter (now x) management, gaining significant exposure and experience in digital marketing strategies.

I was also part of a specialized team that catered to VIP guests, organizing high-end experiences such as helicopter tours and yacht cruises. This role provided me with invaluable insights into the lifestyle and expectations of the top 1% population, skills that have proven useful in all my subsequent roles.

Following Cathay Pacific, I joined Kenya Airways, where I deepened my knowledge of the African market and collaborated with various East African artists. My passion for photography also led me to document these collaborations, including aircraft deliveries. However, my primary focus remained on marketing, which eventually led to my role at Emirates.

As the E-commerce manager for Southern Africa at Emirates, I worked on complex promotions, integrated with various loyalty programs, and social media campaigns. One of my career highlights was contributing to our team’s success in winning the 2019 Sunday Times Top Brands Award for Best International Airline. This recognition was a testament to our innovative marketing strategies and dedication to excellence.

In 2019, I was part of the team that collaborated with Kya 959 on the Pursuit of Jazz project, providing opportunities for talented African artists like Siya Charles and Giyani Gally Ngoveni to perform at the prestigious Blue Note in New York. Additionally, I was closely involved with sponsorships for the Lions rugby team, gaining further experience in event management and marketing integration.

The COVID-19 pandemic prompted a career shift, and I transitioned to data analytical project management for Harmony Gold. In 2023, I was appointed Head of Digital (Commercial and Marketing) for Africa, which involved relocating to Doha, Qatar. However, due to family obligations, I returned to South Africa in January 2024.

My diverse experiences have not only honed my technical skills but also my ability to understand and meet client needs, manage high-profile projects, and lead teams to success. I believe these qualities make me a strong candidate for this challenging role, even though my CV may not fully convey the breadth of my experience.
