I am a seasoned professional with more than 10 years’ experience in communications and project management for international organizations. I am a proficient team player with a proven ability to develop and manage project schedules and budgets, working with cross-functional teams to meet targeted, time-sensitive goals. I have developed complex communications strategies and developed high quality materials for the UNCCD in Germany as well as UNDP in Nigeria, while nurturing a diverse network among critical stakeholders.

Previously, I was the External Relations Officer at the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) in Bonn, Germany where I supported digital and print content production as well as media outreach and engagement for an ambitious 8000km African led land restoration project known as the Great Green Wall of the Sahara and Sahel. I also worked to build strategic partnerships, including with the private sector, to secure long-term financing for land restoration and climate adaptation in Africa.
Prior to this, you will see, I have worked with UN Women and UNDP, United Nations Office on Counter Terrorism, USAID and the Government of Canada along with leading NGOs such as Oxfam in Nigeria and Save the Children in Nigeria to support their communications function. I have exceptional experience in the media/communications industry in Nigeria and in Bonn, Germany where I possess in-depth knowledge of the online and social media space, public relations, genre publications, key trade publications as well as local and national media outlets. With a proven track record of media engagement, demonstrated success in producing publications/visibility materials and in managing multiple large scale events, my experience is rich and diverse.
